All you have to do is sign up.
Each month, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library mails a high quality, age appropriate book to all registered children. Books are addressed to them, at no cost to the child’s family. Countless parents have shared how excited their child is when their new book arrives each month.

All children from birth to age five living in the City of Richmond are eligible. Children "graduate" the program at age five.

We handle the logistics.
The Imagination Library manages the infrastructure of the core program. This includes managing the secure Book Order System, book selections, and wholesale purchasing. The Imagination Library also incurs the cost of the program’s administrative expenses and coordinates the monthly mailings.
The outcome is priceless.
When an adult reads aloud to a child, it fosters a connection through a love of books. When children learn to read at an early age, they develop valuable skills that prepare them to succeed in school and in life.
